Balancing Work and Health: A Transformative Reading Experience

This morning, I woke up feeling under the weather—a pounding headache and sore throat greeted me, a far cry from the energetic start I had hoped for. The exhaustion from last night, spent tending to my children and husband suffering from a flu like virus, was still hanging over me. As a dedicated professional, I had two scheduled readings today and found myself at a crossroad

s: how to give my clients my best when I feel my worst. In search of clarity, I decided to reach out to my spirit guides. I began with meditation, envisioning myself bathed in a bright, healing light. This visualization not only calmed my mind but also opened a channel to receive guidance.

As I meditated, I distinctly felt my guides urging me to move forward with the readings. They showed me the feelings I felt when mediums cancelled on me and I so desperately wanted to connect with my loved ones.

However, they emphasized the importance of self-care first. The balance became clear: I needed to nurture myself to be fully present for my clients. I thanked them for reminding me of the importance of mediumship and suiting up and showing up. Taking their guidance to heart, I identified some self-care practices that I could do immediately and rejuvenate myself.

I made some lemon tea and took a shower. I put away some laundry – which boosted my vibrations because I felt great accomplishing something then I set my children up with snacks and water, so it was easy for my husband to watch them, while sick.

Armed with the intention of self-care, I felt empowered to connect with my clients authentically. Knowing I had taken care of myself first put me in a better position to provide the quality service they deserved.

As the minutes ticked down, I reminded myself that the energy I brought into the reading mattered significantly. With every heartbeat, I felt the connection deepen. I affirmed that the wisdom and insights from my spirit guides were not just for me but for my client as well.

As soon as I saw my client I felt her best friend come in with the message “Think of me, but not with the moments of sadness”. I knew my Spirit Guides led me to my client to give her comfort and hope.

It felt as if the air itself vibrated with love and support.

When her best friend’s spirit made contact, the room lit up with an overwhelming sense of joy. I could see and feel the enthusiasm of this spirit as she shared messages. It wasn't just about relaying information; it was about transmitting feelings of love, reassurance, and unity. I could sense her best friend wanted to convey how proud she was of her and how she continually watches over her from the spirit realm.

Throughout the session, I shared specific memories and feelings that came through from her friend. As I described moments from their shared past—laughs they had, adventures embarked upon, and even the quieter, heartfelt conversations—my client’s eyes filled with tears. It was a mix of sorrow and joy, reflecting the beauty of their connection.

The spirit emphasized that even though she may no longer be physically present, her energy and love remain intact. “You are never alone,” the spirit conveyed. It was as if she was wrapping her friend in an invisible embrace, reminding her that their bond transcends the limitations of physical existence.

As we concluded the session, I felt grateful to have facilitated such a meaningful exchange. It was an experience that taught me being present for my clients while tending to my own needs is a delicate balance, but by aligning with spirit and nurturing myself, I was able to show up authentically. It’s crucial to remember that self-care doesn’t diminish our ability to serve; it enhances it.
